PURPOSE:To obtain the silver halide photographic sensitive material capable of selecting the tone density or color of the background of an image in accordance with need by forming a silver halide emulsion layer and a specified heat sensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The heat-developable photosensitive material formed on a support comprises at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least one heat sensitive layer containing a basic dye precursor, a color developing agent, and a decoloring agent, and it is preferred to form the heat sensitive layer by dissolving the colorless or colored dye precursor and the color developing agent in an organic solvent hardly soluble car in-soluble in water, emulsifying and dispersing it in water, adding microcapsules enclosing the decoloring agent to this dispersion, coating the support with this dispersion, and drying it. Further, it is preferred to form a layer containing a substance absorbing laser beams and converting light energy into heat energy, such as infrared absorbing dyestuff, near the heat sensitive layer or adding this substance to this layer, or using both means. |
