<p>PURPOSE: To provide an adsorber which may be greatly improved in productivity, has a compact external shape and is slight in manufacturing and assembling costs by optimizing the passage of gas crossing adsorbent material beds. CONSTITUTION: This adsorbent for gas has the lower annular adsorbent material bed A and upper annular adsorbent material bed B which have a gaseous mixture inlet 12 and gas outlet 13 in the lower parts, are superposed on each other and part respective outer passages 21A and 21B from respective inner passages 20A and 20B and a perpendicular tubular case 1 having the outer passages 21A and 21B freely communicating with each other. The case 1 has a central opening 15 for charging the adsorbent materials at its top end. The upper part of the adsorber has means (18:17) for limiting the free circulation of the gas between the respective top ends of the outer passage 21B and inner passage on both sides of the upper bed B. The inner passage 20B of the upper bed B has a cross section increasing nearly linearly downward.</p> |
