<p>PURPOSE:To accurately display a residual quantity of paper by arranging a plurality of detecting members in a position not interfering with mounting and removing a paper feed cassette, and detecting a gradient of a bottom plate. CONSTITUTION:A detecting device 20, in which a plurality of detecting members 21 to 23 are arranged with a predetermined space provided, is provided in a position corresponding to an opening part 13 provided in a lower part of a paper feed cassette 10. A bottom plate 15 for supporting paper P in the paper feed cassette 10 is energized in a rising direction by a spring 17 to gradually rise in accordance with feeding the paper P by a paper feed roller 2. When a distance between the bottom plate 15 and the detecting members 21 to 23 is increased to the predetermined distance or more, an off-signal is output from the detecting member, and corresponding to a number of the detecting members 21 to 23 of outputting this off-signal, a residual quantity of the paper is displayed in a display part of a control panel.</p> |
