<p>A device for cooling drinks, portable ice boxes and the like, consisting of hermetically sealed containers (1, 1', 1') partially filled with a liquid refrigerant (3) and designed to be prerefrigerated and inserted into drinks or containers to be cooled, each container having any sealed hollow configuration, and a highly heat-conductive material having a substantially higher specific gravity than water, e.g. a metal or metal alloy. The device further includes an opening (4) and a plug (5), and its specific gravity is substantially the same as or higher than that of water so that when it is placed in a drink (7), the device sinks to the bottom of the drink container (6) or stays in the middle of the drink (7). The refrigerant-free space inside the container is filled with air, hydrogen or a noble gas.</p> |
