<p>A decontaminating apparatus for cleaning radioactive contaminated surfaces and recovering for disposal the contaminated material, including a first recovery unit (11) comprising a vacuum creating source in association with a second recovery unit (30) that filters and demists the vacuum recovered contaminated material, and a third recovery unit (16) that initially vacuum recovers the contaminated material and separates the same into fluid and air borne contaminates.
