<p>A combined powershift and main clutch assembly for a vehicle transmission in which a casing (30) contains an input shaft (12), an output shaft (15) and a planetary powershift unit (11) coaxially mounted around the input shaft and driven therefrom. The assembly also includes a main multi-plate clutch (14) which coaxially surrounds the output shaft (15) within the casing (30) for drivingly connecting an output member (20) of the powershift unit (11) with the output shaft (15). A power-take off shaft (16) is also connected to the input shaft (12) and extends coaxially within the output shaft (15).</p> |
