1356683 Lift trucks CLARK EQUIPMENT CO 1 Dec 1971 [14 Dec 1970] 55659/71 Headings B7B and B7H A lift truck is provided with a casing 40 for counterweights 54, 56 and a battery 95 mounted on a rear part of the chassis 12, means being provided to prevent relative horizontal movement between the casing and chassis but allowing upward movement of the casing for disassembly, and a guard frame 68 whose legs 70, 74 are slidably fitted in slots 58 at either side of the easing. The bottom of the casing carries two U-shaped members 80, 84 which respectively mate with upstanding portions 90 of a transverse chassis member 20 and a slot 87 in a chassis base member 18, slots 82 being cut in member 80 for this purpose. these slots and projections 90 preventing horizontal movement. Counterweights 54, 56 are provided at each side of the casing, the slots 58 being defined between weights 54, 56 and the plates of double walled sides 44. The battery is mounted between the pairs of weights and is provided with brackets 94, having apertures 96 for removal from the casing. Apertures 62, 64 in the casing walls for removal by lifting of the casing. |
