The device finds application as driving mechanism for bicycles. It provides for the stepless change of the moment of rotation and of the frequency of rotation of the output shaft during motion. The device consists of a frame (1) with a drive shaft (3) in a bearing. Pedals (6) and rods (7) in bearings in linkages (8) are connected to the shaft (3) by means of arms (4) and journals (5). Mechanisms (8) are coupled to a control lever (20). Each linkage (8) has a ratchet click (27) engaged to a ratchet wheel (28) through which and through toothed wheels (30 and 31) there is implemented a link with drive shaft (32) and bicycle wheel (33).
