The shelf structure for a vehicle consist of a duct outer rail (12) fixed on a side of the car body (28), a shelf supporting brackets (4) fixed on the ceiling plate (15), a duct inner rail (11) fixed on the shelf supporting brackets, a shelf board (2) set on the tops of both the inner and outer rails, and a duck lower board (17) set on the bottom of both the inner and outer rails. A shelf space is formed from the shelf boar (2) to the ceiling and a duct (7) for cooling air is formed with the inner and outer rails and the shelf board and the lower board.
