To be able to facilitate or carry out at the factory axial prestressing of the cap screws (12), in the case of screw joints between struts (11) and nodes (10) of a space frame, a number of axially parallel bores (19) are provided in each end piece (15) on one strut (11), concentrically to the passage bore (14). Fastening screws (20) which are screwed into threaded bores (27) in a connection plate (26) are fitted through said bores (19) at the building site. The connection plates (26) are welded to each end of a strut (11). The end pieces (15) are connected to the nodes (10) at the factory via the cap screws (12). ……
