PURPOSE:To form a conductor with a connecting lever without the needs to connect them by welding by a procedure in which plural unformed electrode plates are assembled into one block and their lug portions are placed on plate hangers provided with alternately arraged concavities of different depths. CONSTITUTION:The plate hangers A and B placed on both sides of a forming tank are formed by combining the plate hangers 2 made of a comb-shaped lead alloy with plurally arranged concavities 3 with the plate hangers 4 made of a comb- shaped synthetic resin with alternately arranged concavities 5 and 5' of different heights. And, the lug portions 7 and 7' of a block of the plural unformed plates 6 are placed on the concavities 3, 5, and 5' to form a forming device. Thus, because no conductor is formed where the lug portion comes into contact with the shallow concavity 5, whereas a conductor is formed where the lug portion comes into contact with the deep concavity 5, the contact between the unformed plates can be formed simply by placing the lug portions on the concavities, permitting inefficient welding operations to be eliminated. |
