PURPOSE:To sufficiently seal an ink suction cap to a suction path of a cap lever to prevent the occurrence of a permanent strain caused by a cap compression by providing a connecting means for transmitting a suction force generated by a suction force generation means to a capping member. CONSTITUTION:An acting part is provided with an ink discharge port 517A for discharging sucked ink. An ink flow path is formed inside a cap lever 505, a pin 507, a jig 513, and a support part 515. When a pump acts to generate a suction force, ink is led into the pump 53 through the ink flow path. Then, an ink flow path is formed inside a shaft 519, a flow path forming member 521, and a mounting member 523. The ink sucked by the pump 53 is passed through the flow path to be led into a waste ink tank 55 through a tube 57. |
