PURPOSE:To obtain a foamed sheet having a smooth surface by coating a base material with paint compounded with a foaming agent and drying the coated base material on a casting drum. CONSTITUTION:Paint prepared by compounding 2-40 pts.wt. of thermally expansible microcapsules having a low b.p. solvent encapsulated therein with 100 pts.wt. of a compsn. compounded with one or more kind of an org. polymeric compd. adhesive is applied to a base material in an amount of 5-150g/m<2> and the coated surface of the base material is brought into contact with a casting drum heated to the softening temp. of the wall films of the microcapsules or higher, for example, 80-150 deg.C under pressure to be dried. |
