<p>PURPOSE:To clean the area environment near a crossing and to enable the supply of the fresh air to pedestrians by operating an air suction mechanism and a fresh air supplying device in synchronization with the operation to change over the signals at the crossing. CONSTITUTION:The signal detected by an air pollution detector 10 is displayed as environmental information on a large-sized display device 5. An air suction mechanism is simultaneously operated to take in the polluted air 13 on the crossing 1 from a suction port 11 when the detected value exceeds the permissible value. The air is sent through an air transporting path to a filter mechanism and is converted to the fresh air 14 the filter mechanism. The fresh air 14 is supplied from the fresh air supplying device 30 toward the pedestrians 7 on a crossing road 8 in a progressing direction or near the crossing 1 in synchronization with the changeover operation of the signal devices 3. Then, the environmental cleaning is executed and the pedestrians 7 can walk safely without injuring their health.</p> |
