<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a high-quality printed image, which is free from a regenerative effect, without having complicated history control, by a method wherein electrification heating by a preheating pulse is performed on a heating element to which black dot printing is not performed or on the whole heating element during suspension by controlling an electrification control signal. CONSTITUTION:In a recording operation of every line, out of image data, a heating element, to which black dot printing has not been performed, is electrification-heated by a preheating driving pulse and a heating element to which the black dot printing has been performed is preheat-controlled wherein the electrification heating by a preheating electrification pulse is not performed. Therefore, existence of reversal of a signal is selected by taking the exclusive OR of time-division image data from a latch circuit 4 and a preheating control signals XRDT1-XRDT4 from an outside control device and further preheating control is made possible by performing selective electrification of a driving pulse of heating elements H1-Hn3 to which a white dot signal is given by taking the OR of the exclusive OR and electrification control signals XSTB1-XSTB4.</p> |
