<p>PURPOSE: To speedily and accurately recognize a character. CONSTITUTION: Candidate characters are sorted by executing a character feature extracting step obtaining a feature on X and Y axis coordinates with respect to each character, a character distribution extracting step obtaining the cumulative distribution graphic of the X and Y axis coordinates of the characters, dividing cumulative distribution by a prescribed critical value and respectively divide-setting bunch in which the charters are distributed, a character sorting reference data storing step for storing the positional coordinate of the character distribution bunch and characters pertaining to the distribution bunch and a candidate character sorting step for searching and registering the candidate character of the character to recognize by character sorting reference data.</p> |
