PURPOSE:To prevent a mark recorded on an optical disk from dispersing accord ing to an optical disk due to the dispersion, etc., of a laser diode characteristic and to obtain a uniform recording and reproducing characteristic regardless of the optical disk device. CONSTITUTION:A memory 23 storing a corrective coefficient correcting the dispersion of the optical disk device is provided in the optical disk device for uniforming the recording and reproducing characteristic of the optical disk device. By correcting the power and the pulse width of a laser beam recording information on the optical disk using the coefficient stored in the memory, the uniform recording and reproducing characteristic is obtained. Thus, the recording and reproducing characteristic regardless of the optical disk device is obtained. |
