Clip system, for an earring, which is totally confined inside the earring which has the appearance of a perfectly constructed volume in the closure position of the clip, characterised in that the said volume is divided into two parts (1, 2) which fit together in contact with each other, each of the said parts including a member (5, 6) which interacts with a member of the other part (6, 5) in order to prevent any relative transverse sliding and to permit pivoting of limited amplitude of one part with respect to the other, in combination, on the one hand, with return means (11, 12) intended to maintain the contact at the level of the pivoting axis (4) and to maintain the two parts (1, 2) in contact with the other zones and/or to bring them back into said contact, and, on the other hand, with a device (13, 14) limiting the amplitude of pivoting. <IMAGE>
