PURPOSE:To realize a control system having high speed resolution by employing inexpensive mass-produced D/A converter. CONSTITUTION:The servo motor controller comprises a CPU 10 outputting a digital speed command, a logarithmic converter 30 receiving a speed command from the CPU 10 and compressing the speed command as the speed increases to output a compressed speed command, a D/A converter 12 for converting a digital signal fed from the logarithmic converter 30 into an analog signal, a reverse logarithmic converter 32 receiving an analog signal from the D/A converter 12 and converting the analog signal reversely to the logarithmic converter 30, a tachogenerator 16 outputting an analog signal corresponding to the speed of a servo motor 20, and servo controllers 14, 18 for controlling the speed of the servo motor 20 based on the analog signals fed from the reverse logarithmic converter 32 and the tachogenerator 16. |
