In a filter (2) for sepg. solid particles from liq. in a hydraulic system, the liq. can be fed to a liq. tank (7) by a bypass line (11) equipped with a non-return valve (10), the bypass line (11) is connected between the inlet side and the outlet side or outlet line (8) of the filter (2) and can be connected directly or indirectly to the suction side (13) of a feed pump (12) of the hydraulic system. USE/ADVANTAGE - The filter is used e.g. in the oil circuit of a vehicle. Cavitation is avoided since the feed pump is always supplied with a sufficient amount of liq. even when the liq. has high viscosity (e.g. on cold starting).
