<p>PURPOSE:To enhance both the regeneration efficiency of a filter and the durability against mechanical vibration by increasing the collecting rate of particulates such as soot in the exhaust, and by reducing the pressure loss. CONSTITUTION:A casing 10 is provided with an exhaust inlet 10a and an exhaust outlet 10b on both ends thereof, and also is provided with therebetween an exhaust introducing chamber 10c on the exhaust inlet 10a side and a purifying chamber 10d on the exhaust outlet 10b side. A filter 11 is of a hollow cylindrical shape with closed one end, and is provided with projected parts 11a on its inner circumferential surface projected toward the center of the cylinder and extended toward the axial direction, and inside each projected part 11a a heat-generating member 12 is housed. The end of the heat-generating member 12 on the filter open side 11b is screwedly fixed by a nut 14 to the lower wall part 10g of the casing 10, and by electrifying it for heat generation, particulates such as soot collected inside the filter 11 are burned and removed.</p> |
