PURPOSE: To provide a contouring device that is useful for reaching otherwise inaccessible working surfaces such as large-diameter gas turbine engine rotor inner surfaces. CONSTITUTION: A contouring device 10 includes a machining head means extendable from a non-working position 12 to a working position 16 relative to a working surface 66, and when the machining head means is useful for electric discharge machining(EDM) or electrochemical machining(ECM), further includes a fluid flow path for providing a machining fluid to the working surface 66 and means to rotate the machining head means. |
