<p>PURPOSE:To make the layout of an air intake system compact and excellent in the efficiency of air intake in the case of a sequential turbo type supercharger system being applied to a horizontal opposed type engine. CONSTITUTION:An air-cooling type intercooler 30 is horizontally provided at the immediate rear of a horizontal opposed type engine main body 20, and a primary turbo supercharge 40 and a secondary turbo supercharger 41 that are operated in a sequential turbo type, are respectively provided in parallel with each other at the immediate rears of the right and left banks R, L of the engine main body 20 and on both right and left sides of the intercooler 30. The front of the intercooler 30 is connected to intake manifolds 26, 27 at the upper part of the engine main body 20 through a throttle body 29, and intake pipes 54, 55 from an air cleaner 52 are connected to the lower portion of the rear part of the intercooler 30 through intake pipes 56, 57 arranged right under both turbo superchargers 40, 41 and the intercooler 30.</p> |
