PURPOSE:To raise the resistance to leakage of liquid as well as reduce self-discharge by welding a positive electrode case provided with a shoulder having a recessed portion inside to a hermetically sealed portion in which a negative electrode terminal, a sealing ring, and a sealing metal ring are integrally sealed. CONSTITUTION:The circumferential edge portion of the negative elctrode terminal 11 made of a nickel-plated kovar alloy or nickel-iron alloy, etc., is provided with a differnce in level. The negative electrode terminal 11 is integrally welded with the sealing ring 12 made of borosilicate glass, ceramics, etc., and the sealing metal ring 21 made of a nickel-plated kovar alloy, nickel-iron alloy, etc., having an L-shaped section, with the aid of borosilicate glass, etc. Also, the positive elctrode case 13, provided with yhe shoulder 13b having the recessed portion 13a inside, is welded to the upper peripheral portion of the sealing metal ring 21 by means of an electric welding or lazer welding. |
