1532830 Spray carburetters NISSAN MOTOR CO Ltd 3 Feb 1976 [7 Feb 1975(2)] 4146/76 Heading F1H In a carburetter having main and slow running fuel supply systems, a valve 61 is operated below a predetermined vacuum downstream of the throttle valve 12 to open a fuel flow path to the main system which by-passes the main jet 22. A further valve 51 is opened or a valve (130), Fig. 7 (not shown), controlling an air bleed passage 24b to the main system is closed, below a predetermined vacuum which is higher than the vacuum below which the valve 61 is opened to provide a richer mixture. The valves 51 and 61 are operated by the same vacuum responsive device 40. In further embodiments, Figs. 6 and 7 (not shown), a sensor (200) produces an output signal at vacuums between 150 and 300mm. Hg and a further sensor (201) produces an output signal at engine speeds between 2,000 and 3,000 rpm, the presence of both signals concurrently providing an output signal from a controller (202) to energize a solenoid (80 or 130). The valve (73) Fig. 5 (not shown) operated at higher vacuum may have a diaphragm actuator (75) separate from the actuator of the valve 61. |
