PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of inspection, etc., and to prevent an inadvertent burn when a fixing unit is taken out, in an electrophotographic device fixing a transferred image through the ruse of heat by means of the fixing unit. CONSTITUTION:A rotary shaft 37 is supported via a bracket 36 attached to a frame 33, on the sheet passing port 33 of the fixing unit 21 fixing the transferred image on a sheet by applying the heat and pressure. An exit upper guiding plate 38 is attached to the rotary shaft 37 so as to freely turn, and simultaneously, a torsion spring 39 turning the exit upper guiding plate 38 from a guiding position for guiding the sheet to a shield position for closing the sheet passing port 33, is attached. When the fixing unit 21 is inside a device main body, the exit upper guiding plate 38 is at a guiding position. and turned to a shield position when the fixing unit 21 is taken out from the inside of the device main body. |
