LIGHT TRANSMISSION LINE SURVEY METHOD

PURPOSE:To provide a method of enabling the correct and efficient survey of a light transmission line buried underground regardless of whether the light transmission line being a non-metallic type. CONSTITUTION:While moving a vibration generating means mounted onto a road roller 5, for instance, on the ground, vibration is transmitted from the vibration generating means toward the underground where a light transmission line 1 is buried. The output intensity change of signal light propagated in the light transmission line 1 receiving the vibration is then measured in correspondence with the displacement of the vibration generating means, and the buried position of the light transmission line 1 is detected from the light output intensity distribution.
