PURPOSE:To enable proper automatic sorting for various business forms. CONSTITUTION:This system is constituted of a means 18 for preserving the features of templetes 12 for one or more business forms by remarking the feature that the business form includes ruled lines, a means 24 for forming scanning data expressing one or more practical business forms 22 by scanning them 22, a pattern recognizing means 26 having a means for recognizin9 only vertical and horizontal line patterns on the scanned business form to recognize scanning data, a means 28 for providing the format feature of the practical business form 22 by collating the recognized data with previously stored forms, a means for forming black picture element data and white picture element data expressing the practical business form 22 at every line, and a means for recognizing connected elements having X and Y components by identifying one of adjacent black picture elements. |
