PURPOSE:To make it possible to acquire information from a magnetic card even when its recording format is other than a standard. CONSTITUTION:Check information, data information, check digit positions, and the numbers of digits for all sorts of cards to be dealt with in a shop or the like are registered (steps 102 to 104), and even when edit information is included, the data are registered (steps 105, 106) in a card information register file. After reading out a card, a record whose check information coincides with information extracted from the format position of check information obtained from the card information register file is selected (steps 201 to 204) and then data information acquiring and editing processing is executed (steps 205 to 208) in accordance with the selected record. |
