PURPOSE:To provide a satisfactory image by preventing toner from sticking. CONSTITUTION:When the surface of a photosensitive drum 1 is electrified to a prescribed potential by bringing the toner held on a developing sleeve 5b to which a voltage is applied, into contact with the photosensitive drum 1, the speed at which the photosensitive drum 1 rotates is increased by the use of a controller 26 by many steps from the state of being stopped. Therefore, since the length of time that the photosensitive drum 1 and toner are in contact with each other is increased and the injection of charges into the photosensitive drum 1 can be sufficiently carried out, the potential difference between the photosensitive drum 1 and toner decreases and the sticking of toner to the photosensitive drum 1 caused by such potential difference can be prevented. Consequently, soil of a transfer/fixing belt 8 is reduced, a satisfactory image can be provided, and also a stress applied to the transfer/fixing belt 8 can be reduced. |
