Described is a device for feeding precisely measured quantities of a bulk material (7), the device consisting of a fixed element in the form of a hollow cylinder (2) and a rotating element substantially in the form of a brush core (4). The brush core (4) is equipped with protruding elements (5, 6) in the form of bundles of bristles, disposed in rows, which work in conjunction with a spiral groove (9) inside the hollow cylinder (2) to advance the bulk material (7). Bundles of long bristles (5) pass along the inside wall (2a) of the hollow cylinder (2) while bundles of short bristles (6) act as alignment aids and seal off the inside diameter (D) of the hollow cylinder (2). The material advanced (7a) along the spiral groove (9) is made up essentially of two components: material advanced by the motion of the bundles of long bristles (5) and material which passes through flow-equalization gaps (10) linking adjacent turns of the groove (9).
