Described is a thumb-indexed catalogue for listing objects made up of several individual components such as slide-in racks (36) and the electrical devices mounted therein and their component parts and accessories. The thumb-indexed catalogue comprises a number of pages (112, 114, 116, 118, 218, 216, 214, 212) which are bonded to each other at one edge (120) or can be stacked together flush; the pages are of different sizes and stacked in such a way that smaller pages (112) lie on top of larger ones (114). The edges (124) of all, or at least some of, the pages (114) are thus visible even when the pages are stacked together, and the edges which are visible (124) are provided with markings (30) and or fields (32) which can be marked in pen or pencil, and which, with the uppermost page (112), form a substantially flat master copy whose dimensions allow it to be placed on the scanning surface of a standard photocopier or facsimile machine, so that a hard copy can be produced or a copy transmitted by facsimile.
