Process for the preparation of 1,1-difluoro-2-chloroethylene by gas phase reaction of 1,1-difluoro-1,2,2-trichloroethane in the presence of hydrogen and of a catalytic composition comprising a carbon-based support on which are deposited copper and at least one metal from Group VIII of the Periodic Table of the elements.
