In a door seal on motor vehicles, in which the individual door 3, 4 is equipped on the inner door edge and in the door frame with in each case a peripheral sealing strip constructed as a lip seal 7 or flexible hollow profile 6, which sealing strips enclose or bound on one side cavities 9, 10 which run around the periphery between door and door frame, in the case of at least one cavity 9, 10 the distance between door 3, 4 and door frame 1 is essentially filled over a substantial part of the extent of the cavity 9, 10 perpendicularly to the outer face 5 of the door by a tape-shaped acoustic absorber which consists of at least one sealing tape 12, 13. The absorber consists of at least one sealing tape, preferably however of two sealing tapes 12, 13. Its local cross-section is matched to the cross-sectional course of the cavity 9, 10 and attached to the circumference of the door 3, 4 and/or in the door frame 1. Its cross-section is preferably dimensioned in such a way that when the door 3, 4 is closed its volume is not reduced. The lip seal 7, known per se, on the door 3, 4 can also be combined with one of the sealing tapes 12, 13 forming the absorber in order to give rise to a seal system. <IMAGE> |
