PURPOSE:To provide a heater for a vehicle which can improve the safety irrespective of the size of heating capacity and expand the degree of freedom in selection of a wall material while ensuring the insulating even in the drop and intrusion of liquid. CONSTITUTION:A box-like body is composed of a nearly planar base 9 and a cover 6 having palurality of vent holes 60 and a nearly U-shaped cross section and provided in the interior with a heating element 7 to provide a heater 8. The heater 8 is fixed spaced by a predetermined space from a floor surface 1 and wall surface 2. A heat insulating plate 12 extending and projecting to a posision corresponding to the front surface tip of the heater 8 is mounted on the wall surface 2, keeping about 10-50mm of a predetermined space above the upper surface of the heater 8, while the lower surface of the heat insulting plate 12 is inclined upward from the wall surface 2 toward the tip side. |
