PURPOSE:To obtain the subject polyester-imide which is a polymer of a specific tetracarboxylic acid anhydride and a diamine, excellent in low temperature curability, etching properties and heat resistance and useful as electronic parts, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective polyester-imide is a polymer of (A) a tetracarboxylic acid of formula I [Y is formula II (R1 is 7-18C alkyl; R3 is 1-18C alkyl), etc.; X is 1-4C alkyl; (a) to (d) are 0-2] such as 2,2-bis[4-(3,4- dicarboxybenzoyloxy)phenyl]nonane and (B) a diamine of formula III (Z is 0, CO, C02, etc.; X' is halogen or 1-4C alkyl) such as 2,2-bis[4-(p-aminophenoxy) phenyl]ether. |
