HEAD POSITION DETECTION METHOD OF LOGIC CASSETTE PLAYER

The method detects the position of a head of a logic cassette player using reel rotating pulse so that a head is moved according to play modes. The method comprises the steps of: (A) conting reel pulse frequency when the current mode is a reproducing mode; (B) driving a solenoid (HS) to move a head to the reproduction position when the pulse frequency is above reference; (C) maintaining the current head position when reel frequency exceeds reference and the current mode is a fast rewind or fast forward mode; and (D) moving a head to the fast rewind/fast forward position when the pulse frequency is below reference and the current mode is a fast rewind or fast forward mode.
