The method comprises (a) adding 73-78 % supersaturated urea solution to each petroleum fraction at a feeding rate of 0.3-0.4 g/ min/g hydrocarbon mixture, which consists of saturated hydrocarbons, olefins, aromatics, and naphthalene derivatives, to produce spherical adduct particles with 0.2-0.5 mm diameter, and (b) crushing the particles into powder, while washing continuously the used solvent. The method can separate saturated hydrocarbons with high purity from hydrocarbon mixtures.
