<p>PURPOSE:To apply data to a device other than a VTR device and to prevent the increase of ID data by inserting a discrimination signal capable of discriminating a corresponding device and a discrimination bit of recorded data to ID signals. CONSTITUTION:Digital video data from an input terminal 1 is processed in a blocking circuit 2, a quantizing circuit 6, encoding circuits such as a variable length code encoding circuit 8 and a frame conversion circuit 11, a parity generating circuit 12, etc., to obtain encoded frame data to which an error correction code or the like is added, and this data is stored in a memory 13, and contents of this memory 13 are read out and are recorded by a VTR or the like after addition of ID signals in an ID adding circuit 15. One ID signal ID0 or the like of these ID signals consists of a frame ID, a format discrimination bit, two bits indicating the classification of recorded data, and upper four bits of the synchronizing block number, and data can be applied to a device other than the VTR by the discrimination bit, and addition of ID signals to each recording information is unnecessary to prevent the increase of ID signals.</p> |
