<p>PURPOSE: To provide a portable bar code scanner with a simple constitution and of a low cost with which bar codes in different sizes can be exactly read. CONSTITUTION: A laser beam 40 from a laser beam source 42 is radiated, and an optical transceiver 34 at a rotational range 180 deg. is provided so as to be opposite to it. This optical transceiver 34 deflects the scanning beam to the direction of a reflecting mirror 44. The reflecting mirror 44 can be rotated at the range 180 deg.. The beam reflected by the rotation of the optical transceiver 34 and the reflecting mirror 44 forms a scanning pattern for code mark reading constituted of a series horizontal scanning lines connected in a vertical direction.</p> |
