PURPOSE:To protect the electron donating color former contained in a microcapsule from the destruction due to light and to prevent the change of pressure- sensitive duplicating paper with the elapse of time by forming the microcapsule used in the duplicating paper using a hydrophobic core substance expressed by a specific structural formula. CONSTITUTION:In pressure-sensitive duplicating paper constituted by combining a sheet having a layer containing microcapsules including a hydrophobic core substance having an electron donating color former dissolved therein with a sheet having an electron acceptive developer-containing layer, as the hydrophobic core substance contained in the microcapsules, a compd. expressed by structural formula (wherein R1 is a 2-6C straight chain alkyl group and R2 is a 1-4C straight chain alkyl group) is used. As this compd., 2-{2'-hydroxy-4'-(2'- ethylhexyl)oxyphenyl}benzotriazole or 2-{2'-hydroxy-4'-(2'-ethylbutyl) oxyphenyl}benzotriazole is used. |
