<p>A method for combining a fluid filter (46) to a tubing quick connector (24) includes the use of a metal cap (32) welded to an outer peripheral surface (36) of the quick connector housing (25). The cap is also welded at an outer peripheral surface (38) to a metal filter body (42). This invention increases the versatility of where the various assembly operations are performed, and allows the filter manufacturer or final filter user to assemble the systems, without having to perform any assembly of the quick connector structure.</p> |
