The dish has a base (12) provided externally with a coating (18) absorbing microwaves made of a moulded material in a monoblock assembly having supports (22,24,26) moulded in to maintain the base (12) of the dish at a given height (H) above the surface of which it rests. Also claimed is prodn. of the dish base by direct moulding. USE/ADVANTAGE - Microwave oven dish, partic. a browning plate for roasts, pizza bases, tarts, pies etc. Gives rapid uniform heating to the base of the dish without conduction of heat through the supports as occurs if they are formed from extensions of the dish base (12). |
