The radiative cathode structure of CRT comprises (a) the insulating part (2) on the girth of the heater (1), the sleeves (3,3') on the outside of the heater (1), the cap-type basemetal (4) on the upside of the sleeve (3), the oxide cathode material (5) on the upside of the basemetal (4), the sleeve material contg. Ni-Cr on the sleeves (3,3'), and the sleeve top part (3") on the sleeves. The thermionic radiation is generated by heating the oxide cathode material by the transferred heat of the heater, and prolongs the life of the cathode structure.
