An ADC (12) demodulates and converts the analogue AC voltage output signals of the inductive sensor elements in to a binary data word. A time multiplexer (8) sequentially supplies the analogue signals of the individual sensor elements to the ADC. An electronic evaluation circuit (10) in an intermediate storage stores the rotation angle data of the individual sensor elements existing as binary words. The data are combined to form an absolute angle information result over several revolutions. Ring core chokes (21, 22 fig 3) are provided as switching elements of the time multiplexer unit.
