PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of a speech quality by making both of master sets not to break into scramble/descramble operations when both of scramble systems are the same in a speech between the slave sets of cordless telephone sets. CONSTITUTION:When speech between the slave sets 1 and 2 of the first/second cordless telephone sets becomes possible, a control part 6 judges whether the scramble system of the telephone set 300 is the same as that of the telephone set 100 or not. As the result of judgement, when the scramble systems of the telephone sets 100 and 300 are the same, a control part 6 makes a selector 5 to select an input port by way of a route to transfer it to the master set 8 of the telephone set 300. In the master set 8, a control part 6 judges whether the scramble system of the telephone sets 100 and 300 are the same or not. When they are judged to be the same, the control part 11 makes the selector 10 to select an input port by way of a route 15. As the result, a scramble signal received by the master set 8 is transferred to the slave set 12 without scrambling again and the secret speech part 13 of the slave set 12 descrambles the transferred signal.
