<p>PURPOSE: To provide a process which assures resin impregnation homogeneous on the whole area and completely impregnate into fibers of a material web by using solventless resin. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus to impregnate resin is comprised of an extruder 3 for producing a film 8 from low-solvent or solventless solid resin 23 in a shape of flakes or powder, and a device to heat a material web 5 provided with resin is constructed as a continuously operating double-band press 1 exerting an area pressure. The double-band press 1 has 2 endless belts 32 and 33 guided through 2 pairs of direction-changing drums 28, 29 and 30, 31 arranged above and below respectively, and the area pressure is applied between both press belts. A means to combine the resin film 8 with the material web 5 is arranged in front of the double-band press 1.</p> |
