PURPOSE:To prevent an insertion error by a method wherein the bend of a lead wire for an electronic component which has been fed is detected, a component which is hard to insert due to the bend of the lead wire is discharged and only a component which can be inserted is inserted. CONSTITUTION:When a transfer chuck 15 sandwiches and holds an electronic component 1 which has been judge to be hard to insert by means of lead-wire detection parts 13, the transfer chuck 15 is opened and the electronic component 1 is discharged to a discharge port 19. On the other hand, when the transfer chuck 15 sandwiches and holds an electronic component 1 which has been judged to be capable of being inserted, it is turned to the direction of B by using a shaft 17 as the axis of rotation while it is sandwiching and holding tapes 4, and it delivers the electronic component 1 to an insertion-part main body 18F. After lead wires 3 for the electronic component 1 have been cut, the lead wires 3 are bent and held by using an insertion guide 9, the electronic component is guided up to the surface of a board, an electronic component main body 2 is pressed by using a pusher 10, and the lead wires 3 are inserted into prescribed holes in the board. Thereby, a stable insertion operation can be performed. |
