<p>PURPOSE:To provide an electrophotographic toner which has a sharp electrical charge capacity distribution, moisture resistance, stability with the lapse of time and an excellent repeated image forming capability by containing a specific compound. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of the compound represented by the formula is contained in the toner. In the formula, R1-R3 are represented by 4-8C alkyl groups, substituted or unsubstituted aryl groups or benzyl groups and R4 is represented by an alkenyl group, a 3-phenyl-2-propenyl group, an alkenyl group or a 3-phenyl-propenyl group and X<-> expresses an anion. The compound works as an electrical charge control agent but it has an excellent compatibility to a binder resin. Since the toner incorporating this has a high specific charge capacity and also the excellent stability with lapse of time, a stable and clear image is given by the image formation by the electrostatic recording, even in the preservation of the toner for a long period. The electrical charge control agent itself is colorless and an arbitrary colorant matched to the required hue can be selected.</p> |
