<p>PURPOSE:To provide the small and light cylinder to be used for a small and light magnetic recorder. CONSTITUTION:The material of the cylinder 1 is constituted of a resin and the surface thereof is coated with a diamondlike carbon film 2. The weight of the cylinder is reduced according to this constitution; in addition, the durability of the cylinder and the lubricity with a tape are exceedingly improved and, therefore, low-tension traveling is enabled. The size and weight of the magnetic recorder are thus reduced.</p> |
